R.I.P. Mariah

My beautiful, loving little cat Mariah, 14 years old, had to be put to sleep this past weekend.  Her brother/best friend is still roaming the house calling for her, both of us broken-hearted.
Mariah loved boxes.

  1. I'm so sorry to hear of your kitty loss. She looks very much like one of my cats.

  2. So sadly confusing for the cat left behind. Will you write a new title for your blog or let her continue to pass judgment from her position on high?

  3. Thanks so much, Terri and Diane. Mariah will continue her reign over this blog, as she was one of my first inspirations for it.

  4. Oh Linda I'm SO very sorry! It's horrible to lose them (even if it is only till we meet them again).
Love and Hugs and purrrs to you and her brother too.

  5. Thank you so much, Stacy. I'm firmly holding onto the belief that we will meet our furbabies again some day. As a friend once said, "If Heaven doesn't allow our pets in, I'm not going either!"

  6. Awe, honey, I'm so sorry. What you don't know, is that seeing you with your cats when I was in Houston, was the first time I ever felt like I might want one. See what you did to me? Between you and Stacy, I didn't have a chance! I hope you and your kitty can find comfort in each other. Hugs and smooches to you, my dear friend. I love you dearly!

  8. Hi Linda,
As you know, I'm so sorry about Mariah. I'm glad you are leaving her at the top of your blog. It just wouldn't have been the same!
Hope Buster and Baby are being especially nice to you.

  9. So sorry to read about your little sweetie. We just lost our less than 3 year old cat to cancer. It was really hard. Hang in there.

  10. Linda, my sincerest condolences on your loss of Mariah--all of us who have had that experience understand the pain that accompanies the process . . . and the habit patterns that must be readjusted. At least you have that handsome Siamese to console and be consoled by. Best wishes to you all!
