I feel so lucky to have received this gorgeous book for review from Sterling Publishing (via Lark Crafts), and want to share the wealth. Please see my review in my previous post of August 2, and if you would like to receive a copy, just leave me a scintillating, exciting, amusing, pathetic, intellectual, or downright begging Comment, and maybe you will get lucky!
The Giveaway will be held at the end of the day, Wednesday, August 18. Please be sure that your Comment is not "Anonymous", so that I can reach you to let you know that you won, or else be sure to check back here on August 19. I will be traveling on the 19-20th, but will be checking the blog and emails. If you win, your copy will be shipped to you directly from Sterling Publishing. Good luck! I can promise that you will LOVE this book!
OMG! I would love to have this book. You have taught us so much about the quilting world over the years and we have paid it forward to the public. With this book, we could continue the process to teach our world wide customer base, the important role the the fine craft of quilting means to our culture.
ReplyDeleteI beg you for the book, I am crawling up the steps to our new gallery to find a place to show it off. Surely Round Top has a home for it! Congrats for being the chosen one!!! All the best!

I would love to enjoy this lovely book. It will please my eyes and make my heart beat faster. When my heart beats faster with excitement then I will give off serotonin and phenylalanine. Then the aliens won't abduct me, because they want to study humans with a lack of serotonin and phenylalanine. I don't want to be abducted by aliens. It wasn't fun the last time.
ReplyDeleteOOOO, OOOO, OOOO!! I want this! I love how the reviewers have picked out different aspects of the book to highlight.
ReplyDeleteI, too, would love to have this book. The first one is wonderful so I'm guessing this one is as well! Pathetically wishing...LindaD
ReplyDeleteLooks like some great quilters in this book! I may be forced to buy volume one after reading this one, if I win. No begging, Linda, just thanks for counting me in.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos on the cover, looks like a wonderful book for inspiration. I am practicing with small pieces, but would love to do more art quilts. I hope you have a fun and safe trip.
ReplyDeleteDebbie

ReplyDeleteOh, nevermind, I'm a loser and never win anything anyway. Sigh.
Yup, I have Volume I on my bookshelf, and it is crying out for its soulmate. Can you hear it?? Listen carefully. . .

ReplyDeleteShawna

ReplyDeleteLinda, it is a wonderful giveaway, I was hook by desire to see this book after reading your interview! There some problems with giveaways - 1) I never win! 2) English is not my native langauge, so I am not able to explaine all my feeling as I can do it in Russian :))) 3) do you mail outside USA?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thank you for the review and for the chance to participate!
Helen from Lviv, Ukraine
Thank you for this chance, Linda.
ReplyDeleteA great way to celebrate sending my senior and freshman off to the first day of school here. If I had the book, I could be drinking my coffee and looking through the pages in blessed silence. LOL

ReplyDeleteLOL just save yourself the trouble of making a draw and send it to me
ReplyDeleteLove your work.
I am the happy owner of Volume 1, which I reviewed for Amazon, a truly wonderful art quilt book. I would be thrilled to win volume 2.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I'm even doing this --- I never win anything. I'm sure it's because of my miserable childhood! Poor, poor me!
ReplyDeletePathetic enough?
Seriously, I'd love to be able to add this gorgeous book to my library.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Now this is a book I would love to add to my library. I will keep my fingers crossed that I will win this great book.
ReplyDeleteI would love to receive this book. I really enjoy your comments on the Quiltart list. Rosemary Hopkins
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda for the chance to receive the Masters II book. The comments above mine were LOL. Great idea. Winning this book would be awesome. I want to send it to an art historian I just met that has never been exposed to art quilts. She wants to do an article for some of the publications where she regularly writes.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteI am trying again today. It looks like it is working. I would love to have that book. Now, if I can get my word correct, I'm done. Thanks again.
The first book was fabulous. I am sure that this book is terrific, too. Congratulations to all of the artists profiled in this book.
ReplyDeleteLike I told Terry Grant, there's nothing like Superior Hand Held Eye Candy! Count me in and if I should win BOTH, I'll donate one to my local library.
ReplyDeleteI don't come out of 'Lurkdom" for just anything. I would love to win the book. I would also like to say how much I enjoy reading your blog. Thank you and now back to my lurking lair.
ReplyDeleteoh please let me win!! heheh. I read about the new book at Lark's blog yesterday and immediately went to my library to check out the first book. It blew me away.
ReplyDeleteI WOULD LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE TO WIN THIS BOOK! :-) Kinda 'nuff said, right? Thanks for the chance to win. Yum!
ReplyDeleteIt will really be very nice to win this fabulous book!!! I love so much the first one!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bookaholic and need a fix.
ReplyDeleteOk..honestly, I'm a beginner. I have recently transitioned from oil on canvas to fiber art. I would like to learn more. I want to see the best so here I am looking at books and researching styles and techniques. I am going to make a go at full time art making and I'm looking for an anchor. That would be knowledge and experience, books and hours and hours of studio work. Any chance I could win this thing?
ReplyDeleteOh Linda, you know all the others were just kidding. I've already dusted off the bookshelf, thrown out all the paperbacks just to make room for this new beauty! Send it my way!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much.
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to win this book. The first one was so inspirational and I could use a little boost in that department right now. Thanks for offering this giveaway.
ReplyDeleteLinda, please add my name for consideration because the book looks wonderful, you have recommended it and, as a self-appointed master protector of all things quilt, art and fiber related, I simply do not have enough art quilt books to love and care for...or fabrics...or yarn...or art supplies...or sewing ephemera...or......
ReplyDeleteI love volume one.. I have been without Internet for a few days so I'm under the wire!! This is going to be another beautiful book for inspiration!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to own a copy of this book. All I can say is that I wish every book I've owned was free, since...I'll look thru it...read it...feel it...sleep while looking at it non stop...then sits on my bookcase for years to come. This looks like exactly what I need to get inspired to make art quilts. Thank YOU in advance for selecting my name. Oh...BTW, no shipping costs involved, since you can hand it over at the next FASA meeting. :-)
Great review! I am anxious to see Vol. II. I expect I will love it as much as the first one. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a copy! Love your blog.
ReplyDeletescintillating, exciting, amusing, intellectual - those may be beyond my range BUT pathetic, or downright begging - that I can do, although you have to imagine puppy dog eyes as I beg for this wonderful book.
ReplyDeleteDon't want to be pathetic sounding ...but I sure would love to read through this inspirational book...puhleeeezz!
ReplyDeleteAs another great Master once said, "Once you start down the textile path, forever will it inspire your destiny, consume you it will." - Yoda
ReplyDeleteIt would be wonderful to win this great book! If I do, I promise now to create something unforgettable with it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a copy of this book! (pretty please!!)
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to have a copy of the new book! Pretty please, with batiks and shibori and shiva paintstiks on top!
ReplyDeleteI will write you a note to tell you how excited I am that I have won the book!
